Terms of Service

Welcome to HazardLens. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of HazardLens.io (“HazardLens”, “the Service”), provided by Adaptive Edge Technologies AS (“we”, “our”, or “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using HazardLens, you confirm that you:

  • are at least 18 years old,
  • have the authority to enter into a binding agreement, and
  • agree to comply with these Terms and all applicable laws.

2. Description of the Service

HazardLens is an AI-assisted platform that helps users identify potential hazards, evaluate risks, and generate safety documentation. The Service provides automated suggestions based on user-provided inputs such as photos and text descriptions.

HazardLens does not replace professional judgment or legal compliance requirements. Users are solely responsible for verifying all outputs and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of their risk assessments.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • provide accurate information when creating an account;
  • use the Service only for lawful purposes;
  • review and validate all AI-generated outputs before using them in any professional or regulatory context;
  • ensure your use of the Service complies with all applicable safety, regulatory, and industry requirements.

You must not:

  • upload unlawful, harmful, or abusive content;
  • attempt to access systems or data you are not authorized to access;
  • reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source models or algorithms from HazardLens;
  • use the Service to train or develop competing AI or risk-assessment tools;
  • use copyrighted standards or proprietary publications as input to the Service if doing so violates third-party rights.

4. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses machine learning models to generate suggestions. These suggestions may be incomplete, incorrect, or require expert interpretation.

All risk assessments, decisions, and final outputs remain the user’s responsibility. Adaptive Edge Technologies does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated outputs.

AI-generated content may not be used as a substitute for professional safety engineering or compliance review.

5. Account Registration and Security

You must create an account to access the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.

Please notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

6. Subscription, Billing, and Payments

Some features require a paid subscription. By subscribing, you authorize us and our payment processors to charge your payment method for recurring fees.

6.1 Renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.

6.2 Cancellation

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Access continues until the end of the current billing period.

6.3 Refunds

Except where required by law, all charges are non-refundable.

7. Intellectual Property

All content, features, trademarks, and technology within HazardLens are owned by Adaptive Edge Technologies or our licensors. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your personal or internal business purposes.

You may not modify, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Service without written permission.

8. Prohibited Uses

You may not use HazardLens to:

  • create competing software or AI models,
  • conduct unlawful or harmful activities,
  • upload content infringing third-party rights,
  • attempt to extract or misuse proprietary algorithms.

9. Data Processing and Privacy

Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. By using HazardLens, you consent to the collection, processing, and storage of data as described in that policy.

10. Service Availability and Modifications

We strive to keep HazardLens available and functioning smoothly, but we do not guarantee:

  • continuous uptime,
  • error-free operation,
  • uninterrupted access.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue parts of the Service at any time, with or without notice.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law:

  • HazardLens is provided “as is” and “as available”;
  • we do not guarantee that AI-generated content is correct, accurate, or complete;
  • we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of the Service;
  • your exclusive remedy for dissatisfaction with the Service is to stop using it.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Adaptive Edge Technologies harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising from:

  • your use of the Service;
  • your violation of these Terms;
  • your infringement of any third-party rights.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or misuse the Service. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support.

14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any disputes will be resolved through:

  1. informal negotiation, followed by
  2. binding arbitration in Norway, unless prohibited by applicable law.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last Updated” date reflects the latest version. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
